Wireless phones everywhere

This hustle and bustle world we live in has made it difficult to survive without wireless phones. It's actually funny when I think about it, because when I was in high school, no one had a cell phone, it was all about the pagers. Here in the new millennium you'd think we would die without these tiny methods of communication. Wireless phones seem to be ruling our lives.

If you take a look around, you are likely to spot a cell phone in most people's hand or pocket. These convenient little toys have made the phone booth, obsolete. The advantages of wireless phones range anywhere from making business deals while on the move or calling the spouse while stuck in traffic. How did we ever get along without them? If you search the web, you will find a number of cell phone services, as well as cool phone designs. A distinct feature of cell phones is they always get smaller or more compact. However, in addition, wireless phones continue to get more advanced. Anyone remember the huge ones back around 1990? Those babies looked like military walkie talkies compared to the mini pocket folders we have today.

A great thing about wireless phones concerns safety. No matter where you go, you always have that little tool that can aid you with your broke down car, or get you in touch with the police in an emergency. We can now keep track of our children when they reach the dating age. Even if they don't return our calls, there's a tracking device in their phone to reveal their location. A popular feature, which is probably used by teens more than adults, is the picture option. It's great to be able to snap a quick shot of something or someone and pass it on to a friend. The ring tones are also a cool feature. Have a favorite song? Make it your ring tone.

With the widespread use of wireless phones, we have to be extra careful with who's getting in touch. In more recent events, some users have had trouble with foul text messages and random callers who've attained their number some how. Overall, these wondrous devices have really solved a lot of communication problems that most of us face on a daily basis. They've made things easier, but always remember to use with caution, which essentially means, don't talk and drive.

Plantronics Voyager Pro Bluetooth925- Reviews

Hi all, remember I just talked about the Plantronics Voyager Pro, I just bought that a few days ago. So far it working well with my HTC Pro 2 and the sound clarity is good. The wearing is comfortable but you must always remember to pull down the microphone when answering calls. If not, you will sound like you are in far away places. But I think overall, it is quite good.

Anyone tried this already? Any comments?

The Plantronics Discovery 925

Personally, the only thing I like about the The Plantronics Discovery 925 is that it comes with a leather charging case that when fully charged you can carry along and charge your headset while on the move. That looks pretty cool if you are travelling overseas and you forgot to bring your charger along. To my experience, the charging case when fully charged can charge your headsets twice before it runs out of energy.
Best if you go for 3Day 2 Night travel?

Overall, this is still a popular headset and the sound quality is good.

  3. The design of the Plantronics Voyager Pro isn't quite cool enough to be called retro, but we have no trouble calling it comfortable and easy to wear. The headset was easy to use, with a simple design and an intuitive interface that didn't have us reaching for the owner's manual every time we paired it with a new phone. Call quality was also good, and the phone had good enough reception that we could walk away from our phone and still keep the conversation going. We're still skeptical about wireless Bluetooth headsets replacing our wired sets, or even our Bluetooth speakerphone, but for constant chatters looking for an untethered option for long conversations, we have no trouble recommending the Plantronics Voyager Pro. The headset sounded clean and natural, better than other headsets we've seen except under truly rock-n-roll conditions. Price: $100.
Pros: Great call quality. Comfortable design. Long battery life. Noise reduction works well for wind, engine and deep repetitive noises.
Cons: Sound quality still doesn't match a good wired headset. Design a bit dated looking, rather large. Not enough aural feedback while talking, too much aural feedback while windy.

Plantronics Discovery 925- Reviews and facts

The Discovery 925 has some basics function like answering, ending, and rejecting calls, as well as voice-dial support, last-number redial, and the capability to transfer calls from the headset to the phone and vice versa. A nice bonus feature is the 925 supports Multipoint technology, which lets you pair up to two different Bluetooth devices at once. This way you can use one headset with two different phones.

The Discovery 925 comes with a leather charging case that looks a lot like a lipstick case. You can charge up the case along with the headset for extra battery life. The pairing process went very smoothly thanks to the Discovery 925's QuickPair system that automatically places the headset in pairing mode when it's turned on for the first time. Call quality was excellent, with audio performance comparable with landline quality. This is probably because of Plantronics' AudioIQ digital signal processing technology that reduces background noise considerably. Callers reported that our voice sounded very natural, and we thought the same of them. That said, it didn't perform so well in windy environments.

The Plantronics Discovery 925 has a rated talk time of 5 hours. It had a rated standby time of 7.29 days with the Multipoint technology turned off, and a rated standby time of 4.16 days when it's turned on.

Are you talking it up on your cell phone right now?

When I take a glance around, it's like everyone is always on their cellular phone. What is the deal here? What could you possibly have to talk about all day long? I think people just call each other for no particular reason these days. Hey, I've got nothing better to do. Oh, wait, I know; I'll call up my buddy and see if they're doing nothing right now too. Okay, so I haven't exactly conformed to this way of life yet. The fact is I hardly ever use my wireless phone. So the last thing on my mind is mobile phone deals. However, I am the minority in my household. You see, everyone else just loves their cell phone. And you'd better believe that they use them constantly. This is why I have to make sure we get the absolute best mobile phone deals. It saves some bucks in the end.
Who offers you the best mobile phone deals? Is it Verizon or Sprint? Or maybe it's T-Mobile. One thing is for certain when you're dealing with cellular phones. You want to pay the least you can, but get as much time as you possibly can. Oh, and of course there's that whole "can you hear me now concept." Heck, we all want good reception, or there's basically no point. Well, fortunately now days there are a number of wireless services competing for our attention. This means an array of mobile phone deals. Therefore it's time to take a step back and assess the possibilities. What do you want from your wireless phone service? Are you looking for 1000 minutes per month and unlimited text messaging for one low price of 20 bucks? Well, good luck with that one! No, but seriously, there are decent mobile phone deals out there if you do some browsing. The first place you should be looking is the World-Wide-Web. Cyberspace is overflowing with endless data regarding all deals on everything. Check out what reasonable plans each company has to offer. This is the perfect way to go. This way you will know for certain what mobile phone deals are currently available. Choose the right one to fit your household. And if you hardly ever use a cell phone, you might want to check into Go phones, which offer a "pay as you go" deal. That perfect cell phone plan is out there waiting for you. Now you just have to get online and find it.

Hands Free Headsets

Many states have already passed, or are going to pass, laws about talking with your cell phone while driving. New York, for example, already has a law in place that makes illegal to hold your phone will driving your car, but you can use hands fee headsets to talk. Though many think this is not much safer, may just be in a big way. It is a good idea to have both hands free while driving. The conversation may be a distraction though, and is best to save the calls for later if you can. If you must talk, get the headsets that allow you to talk hands free even if is not yet a law where you live.
Hands free headsets can be tricky if you have not used them before. You should try them out by making calls from your home with them before you attempt in the car. You should be aware that some have some nifty features on them that make things even easier and safer while driving, so learn to use them if your hands free headsets come with them. If you can master how to make calls in the safest manner possible at home, you won’t bumble around while driving, which can be just as dangerous as not using one at all.
The trick to safely using hands free headsets is to have everything set up when you get into your car. If you drive a lot for work and get a lot of calls, might become second nature to have your headset ready for hands free calling. However, those who rarely get calls in the car might not think about as much. No matter where you are going or if you think you may get calls or not, you should still have set up when you drive in the event that one comes in that you think you must answer right away. You don’t have to have the hands free headsets on your ear, but they should be hooked up and whin easy reach so you don’t have to take your eyes off of the road.
You can easily find hands free headsets for your phone or phones where ever you buy your new phone or where you can buy accessories. You can also find them online. Make sure you find hands free accessories and headsets that are compatible with your phone. Some work well with most phones, but others will only work for certain models. Some phones even automatically come with a hands free setup, though that is something that you should find out when you buy.

Bluetooth Car K for Cell Phones

I work in a sales job that requires me to vis prospective customers throughout my workday. As a result, I spend a lot of time on the road, and have come to depend on my cell phone as a means of staying in contact with my office and clients. However, my cy recently passed an ordinance banning the use of cell phones while driving, which means I now have to buy a bluetooth car k or risk getting pulled over.
I've never used a bluetooth car k before, but I know how works. It's basically a small un that, when properly configured, allows for hands-free operation of cell phones and other devices. By purchasing one of these, I'd be able to continue using my phone in the vehicle whout having to worry about tickets and fines. Since being whin reach at all times is crical to my job performance, I really have no choice about buying a bluetooth car k.
The big box electronics stores around here over-inflate their prices unnecessarily, so I decided to head straight for the computer to check out some popular webses instead. While browsing through the products, I was a b surprised at how many different types of bluetooth car ks there are. For example, I can buy a very basic un that simply plugs into the cigarette lighter. Or, if I want some more bells and whistles, I can get a far more sophisticated bluetooth car k that would have to be professionally installed.
Since I'm not very familiar with what all of these different bluetooth car ks can do, I'm going to have to spend a lot more time going over the product descriptions and reviews. Between the various features, installation requirements, phone compatibily information, and sound qualy issues, there's a lot to take in. Plus, I haven't even gotten around to comparing prices yet, but that's definely something I'm going to have to do before I finally make a purchase.
At least my inial research has given me some solid leads to follow up on. I now know that Motorola, Parrot, and Nokia are some of the leading manufacturers of bluetooth car ks, so I'll be looking for more information on those brands for sure. I'm going to devote the next couple days to this project, and hopefully will have a new bluetooth car k up and running in my vehicle whin a week or so.

Improve Performance with a Cell Phone Booster

I work in sales, which means I'm constantly on the move as I visit one client after another. Since I'm almost always in my car, I rely heavily on my cellular phone to keep in touch with both clients and colleagues back at the home office. Trouble is, I often drive out to remote areas where coverage is spotty at best. That's why I've decided to purchase a cell phone booster as soon as possible.
A cell phone booster is a device that amplifies the cellular signals received and sent, thereby giving phones far greater range than they would have on their own. Depending on which brand you purchase and where you use the device, a cell phone booster can often improve signal strength by anywhere from 200 to 400 percent, which is a highly noticeable difference. This gives you the ability to make more calls while on the go, and significantly reduces the number of dropped calls due to weak signals.
There are a lot of different cell phone booster kits on the market, so before buying one, I'm going to have to spend some time reviewing the various claims of the top brands. Since I want an automotive kit, I'll be looking for specific features such as ease of installation, portability, and of course performance. I don't want to have to alter my vehicle in a permanent way, so I'll avoid the products that require drilling holes during the installation process. This shouldn't be a problem, as there are plenty of magnetic or stick-on options available. As far as portability goes, I want to be able to use the cell phone booster kit in any vehicle I drive, including rentals. So this kind of goes back to not having to drill holes to install the product. The performance requirement pretty much speaks for itself. Nobody wants to pay good money for merchandise that does not work as advertised.
Even though I need a cell phone booster primarily for my car, there are home and office setups available as well. I currently live in an area with pretty good coverage, so I probably don't need one just yet. But it's still helpful to know that these products exist. If I ever move out to a rural locale, a home cell phone booster will be the very first item on my shopping list!
I'm going to spend all weekend checking out the top automotive cell
